Spiro is our first Pharaoh Hound. We waited about a year before we got him home, because I asked Britt-Marie for puppies almost right after the previous litter had delivered to new homes. After a year of waiting we were so happy to have him home! Spiro was one of three bigger boys and he was my favourite from the moment I saw the first individual photos. The puppies were 4,5 weeks old when we went to see them. I tried to look at the other boys too, but somehow my eyes were just stacked on Spiro (in fact on Benedic, because that’s what he was first called).

Spiro has beautiful big ears, horseshoe shaped marking in the chest and white tip of the tail. He is about 63,5 cm high. Spiro was castrated in October 2007. We have anyway attended Farkkushow and some Match Shows with him. When we were for the first time in Farkkushow Spiro was just 15 weeks and 6 days old. Spiro's other ear wasn't up yet and he was lieing and peeing in the ring, so the judge chose him as the most sympathetic PH in the show! In 2007 Spiro was BIS male without testicles. Spiro has also won three Match Shows here in Turku: first time was in September 2006 at the age of only 6,5 months!

Spiro is a very playful and energetic boy who loves to run. He could probably run forever with a toy in his mouth if someone just would chase him! As running is Spiro's favourite hobby and he is very interested in everything that moves, we look forward seeing him competing in racing and/or lure coursing. We have been in four obedience courses and a couple of times in an obedience and show course for sighthounds. We've tried also agility, but we are atleast having a little break before next try... Spiro would probably love blood tracking, so we are going to try that also. We aren't hoping for competing in obedience or agility, but we'll surely attend a lure coursing competition next year!

Thank you Britt-Marie for letting us have this wonderful boy!
